    Description

Up for sale is an antique, hand sewn, Inuit doll. It measures 14 1/4" tall. It's made with some kind of tartan sort of material, which can be seen in the last photo. It's also made with buckskin and seal skin or gut. As you can see from the photo's, there's a lot of damage and wear to the jacket on the doll. Please enlarge all photo's for best detail. I purchased this from an auction house. They said the former owner claims the doll dates back to c. 1870's, but I don't have any provenance to prove that.
