Description

I decided to make a new compact sliding entrance because my first one may have too many uses for some beekeepers. This one has three main positions and two half positions so it's a queen excluder, vent and full open with mouse guard. It can be slid to halfway between the queen excluder and vent or open position and vent to reduce the entry and help weaker colonies to defend against robbing. This entrance allows the use of a top board for the bottom board thus saving on inventory. Since no holes need be cut and screened on the bottom boards, I've included 6 vent/drain strips that simply attach to the bottom of the box with thumb tacks. The installation is straight forward, but illustrated instructions are included plus all screws and thumbtacks. The entrance can be placed at the top or bottom of the box(s) whichever is preferred.
