    Description

A toolbox for beekeepers. Take all your tools with you in the bee yard and keep them organized with this beekeeper toolbox made from locally grown tulip poplar with a tulip poplar handle. Slots and divided compartments keep tools handy and organized. Return your tools to the same spots each time and they'll be easy to find. Tools and props are not included, you get just the box. Ships fully assembled and ready to use. These boxes are handmade one at a time. Lightweight yet strong, the dimensions of the box are 22”L x 7”W x 11”T, weighs 7.5 lbs. There will be a few small tight knots, the color and saw pattern of the wood will vary from the photos, and they all have a slight rustic look. The joinery is tight and the box will feel well balanced. Finished with a coat of boiled linseed oil. Beekeeper Toolbox logo is branded into handle. See photo. If you don't want the logo send me a message. The serial number is the date made plus a consecutive digit.
Toolbox can be a nice piece of rustic decor when your beekeeping days are over.
The boxes are handmade one at a time to the same dimensions.  There are differences in grain patterns, colors, knots from one box to the next, but otherwise they are very similar.
When you open a hive you need all your tools to address whatever situation you might encounter. With a toolbox you won't need to look for a tool or go back to the shed for that one tool you thought you would not need.
What I carry in my toolbox: Smoker, lighters, bee brush, 2 or more hive tools, knife, sugar water spray bottle, torpedo level & wood shims, sharpie marker pens, queen catcher & paint pen for marking queen, beetle traps & vegetable oil bottle, hive inspection book & pens, frame holder, frame spacers during honey season, and a couple entrance reducers for when I find a weak hive. Or, carry smoker fuel in the end compartment. Remember, No tools or props are included with this toolbox, it's the box only. Handmade in Corydon, Indiana, USA
Why Tulip Poplar? It's a strong, light, hardwood tree, our Indiana state tree, and is grown in abundance in my area. It's not related to poplar trees at all and is a relative of Magnolia trees. Both trees, Magnolia and Tulip, have large white showy blossoms that honeybees enjoy.  Among it's many uses, Tulip is an excellent choice for projects like this.
Beekeeper Toolbox. This wood is air dried to save on energy.
